Using the simulator is straightforward. Here is how to get started. At the opening screen, select 1 -4 tables. Each table consists of 8 players. Select how long you want each blind level to last. The default is 5 minutes. Play goes much faster that in a real tournament, so 5 minutes is a good length,
Each AI opponent has its own playing style. You will face a variety of strategies at the table. Playing against different styles is good practice. In a real tournament, you will face all of these types.
